Supraatim Bholl ISC
A TEDx speaker, the National Award, the Filmfare, the Generation Next
Cinematographer award by Digital Studio magazine, AIFF- Best
Cinematographer award and Golden Sparrow awardee at DIFF, Supratim is an
alumni of FTII, Pune and an affiliate of WICA. Born in a farmer’s family, in the
Midnapore district of West Bengal, famous for Patachitra.
A TEDx speaker & the National Award Winner Supraatim Bholl ISC is an alumnus of Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He holds a Senior Diploma & Visharad in Theoretical Art and Painting and a First Class holder in Photography from DES’s Fergusson College, Pune. The official sequel to Apu Trilogy by maestro Satyajit Ray - the National Award Winner titled “Avijatrik - The Wanderlust of Apu” also won him the National Award for Best Cinematography in 2022; & multiple National Award winner “Aparajito - The Undefeated”, the Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique (FIPRESCI) International Critics Award winner, based on the life of Satyajit Ray - are both his major Black & White works in Indian Cinema which garnered him with many awards & accolades. National Award winners “Dada Lakhmi” and “Deep Fridge”, National Award winner “Colours of Innocence” are some of his works in colour which has won the hearts of many. His latest work in 2025 is his first Hollywood film “Daniel”, based on the Biblical story of 600 BC of faith, courage and war.
